Dear Freshman,

 

Congratulations on your acceptance into Florida International University!

 

You are now beginning a new chapter in your academic career and Sigma Chi

would like to wish you the best of luck on this journey. To help you take this next

step we encourage you to apply for a new and honorable scholarship offered to

all incoming male freshmen on campus, but only granted to the few who merit it:

 

Man of Good Character Scholarship

 

Sigma Chi is the nation’s most prominent and elite Greek organization, as published

by US News and World Report. Our main purpose is to cultivate and maintain the high

ideals of friendship, justice, and learning within our brotherhood. In striving towards these

ideals, Sigma Chi stresses the importance of  being a Man of Good Character as established

by our founder Isaac M. Jordan. A Man of Good Character exemplifies what it means to go

above and beyond what is asked of the average men.

 

Sigma Chi Members are encouraged to seek activity not only within the college but also out in

the community around them, in a way that shows a belief in our ideals.
